Born Leonard Perro, Jr. on May 26, 1982, raised in Dallas sector "Oak Cliff"----, Breeze was faced with the temptation's of the streets. Instead of living the street life he chose rap as a way out. He was joined in friendship and family by Latra, Derrick and Floyd to form the label DAP to start off his rap career.
Following a painful move to Lafayette, LA leaving behind all of his friends and family he was picked up by Reapa Records. With Reapa he created numerous hits like “Sunshine” climbing to the top of the records label underground fan base. After separation from Reapa he joined up with First Class Records/One Sound Production with aspiration to establish his own record label. For a while, he ran around with his new formed family, a small-time TX rapper with a record deal but few sales. From others he learned how to navigate through the rap industry and what moves to make. He also participated in many other compilations from other artist for a short time. Breeze subsequently decided to make an untraditional decision and start his own label rather than sign with an established label like others had done. Together with friends Q and Kinfoe, he reestablished DAP Records, a risky strategy for cutting out the middleman and making money for himself.
Now the admiration of a generation, Breeze is on the road for an incredibly storied career in the rap industry, pulling himself more than anyone, he is embodying the ultimate rags-to-riches rap dream, advancing from poverty to power, largely on behalf of his lyrical talent coupled with incredible dedication.
Son, Father, Rapper, Poet, Thug, no matter what kind of vision you have of Breeze you can’t deny after meeting him that he would be applicable to all those titles mentioned above. Different people will always have different perceptions of the man, but the real will always know.
